Principal's Welcome

Dear Glendale American School community,

I am thrilled to welcome you to another exciting year at Glendale American School! As your principal, I am incredibly proud to be part of this vibrant and dedicated community. With over 20 years in education, I have had the privilege of pursuing my passion for learning and growth through a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Secondary Education from Illinois State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology, and doctoral work in Psychology with a focus on Cognition and Instruction. My research has delved into topics such as reading to the fetus and equity in education, particularly within high-poverty environments, emphasizing climate and culture.

I want to express how proud I am of our hardworking staff, who consistently go above and beyond to provide the best educational experience for our students. Our school is fortunate to have the most talented, dedicated, and resilient students - and it is a joy to see them thrive each day.
